Our cat developed a seizure disorder a couple of years ago.  Happily, it turned out that her seizures can be controlled with liquid meds, 3x a day.  My husband and  I worked out our schedules so that we could manage this but we were really worried about vacations!  Thankfully, we found Theresa!  She has taken care of our cat for our past 3 vacations (each of which were 7 nights away), plus several long weekends.  She spends the night and is a total expert at giving our beloved pet (who doesn’t always cooperate) her meds.   She sends daily reports and lots of pictures so that we never worry at all about our kitty when we are away. She always looks well taken care of when we return, and the house is always in great shape too!  I wholeheartedly recommend Theresa as a caretaker for any special needs pets! She has made it possible for me to enjoy vacations without stressing about my fur baby.  

We are so grateful for Theresa – we have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a long-term semi-feral cat resident, and Theresa does a fantastic job of watching them! With so many in our crew, it’s always hard for me to leave without worrying about them, but with Theresa I know she’ll take good care of everyone. She knows everyone’s personalities – knows who likes to cuddle, who likes to steal your food, who can’t be trusted around cat poop, and gives them all the love and attention (and boundaries!) they need. To top it off, one of our dogs has some anxiety and can be difficult to work with, and she is so understanding of him and his fears, she doesn’t just write him off as a grumpy old man. She’s always willing to work with whatever weird requests I have (like the semi-feral cat that we’re caring for, or when we accidentally adopted a puppy 2 weeks before a weekend trip), and I am confident that everyone is well cared for and loved while we’re gone.

We have had Theresa as our pet sitter since moving to the DMV area a year ago. She has been absolutely incredible, caring for our higher needs senior dog, as well as two reptiles. She does everything from walks, home visits, to overnights in our home. We absolutely trust Theresa to not only care for our animals, but to stay in our home while we are out of town. Having an elderly dog who needs some additional care at this phase of his life can make it difficult to leave town. Having Theresa in our home leaves us absolutely at ease – our pets adore her and we come home to happy and healthy pets every time. Additionally, Theresa provides us with updates and photos throughout our trip so that we can keep up with how everyone is doing while we are away. We could not recommend her more highly!
